Natchez, Mississippi contacted The Slow Polks to organize a race for its tricentennial celebration.
As the city’s tricentennial logo had already used many images associated with the city, finding an appropriate, uplifting symbol for the race logo wasn’t easy. Fortunately, some historical research yielded the city’s namesake with the Natchez, a Native American tribe. As feathers were used to denote freedom, movement, we had found the symbol to encourage runners to make their own history.
